Case Study: Submitting To Software Directories For Website Traffic Leads And Fun!!!
The other Day I had a pleasant surprise when reviewing the traffic stats for my Blog.
There was a spike in Traffic that seemed to come from 1 refering website.
When I looked closer i discovered that the surge in traffic came from a software directory.
You see, some time back I created a browser toolbar and uploaded it to over 1,000 software directories. I included the anchor text “MLM Downline” and pointed the the links back to a blog post that i wanted to rank for the Keyword “MLM Downline”.
I never expeced any direct traffic from these sites. My only expectation was that the backlinks would boost the search engine ranking of my blog post and cause me to get indirect search engine traffic. However, not only did i get direct traffic from this one particular software directory but an added benefit was that over 490 people also downloaded the software to their desktops..
In the video you’ll see why these downloads are so powerful.
The best part is that this is but one of about 1,000 sites that i uploaded the software to.. WOW!!! I guess I will be doing more of these
